What is your name and role?
Elly Taylor - Operations Director
If you had to sum up The Edge Hub in 5 words what would it be?
Exciting, collaborative, innovative, welcoming, fun
What was your favourite event of 2024, and why?
There's so many! I really can't choose, we have such a huge range of events it's so hard to pick! I love the conferences, seeing what comes from those events and the networking, hosting community interest events, then evening and weekend leisure events where we get to use the space in different ways!
What are you most looking forward to in 2025, both at work and outside of it?
I'm looking forward to building on the incredible foundation we've created here at The Edge and helping more people through our various services as well as opening Federation of Sport in the old town! Personally, my eldest son will be graduating from University so that's probably our big milestone as a family!
What project have you been most proud of working on at The Edge?
I think the whole offer from us opening and defining where we fit and how we can best utilise our space and skills. We feel as a team we're part of something special and we hope this transfers to our fabulous community.
Is there a personal or professional milestone you’re aiming for in 2025?
Successfully opening the Federation of Sport and further developing our Edge team to reach their goals and progression plans. Personally, just continuing to enjoy time with my three sons, friends and family.
If you could swap roles with anyone else on the team for a day, who would it be and why?
Haha, hmmm this is a tough one. Probably Josh as he gets to work with me ;)

Oh I have no idea! Danny Devito maybe?!

An inflatable crocodile
